Pool
Maintenance
Please be aware that
the following maintenance schedule is good for a
Rapture Pool only. Many builders do not put the same
equipment on their pools, so most of them require
more time and chemicals than a Rapture Pool. Minimal
amounts of effort will provide you with a clean,
clear, blue, sparkling pool.
Weekly:
Test all chemicals. Do not add any chemicals
until the maintenance for that day is complete.
Check in-line chlorinator to make sure it is
full.
Net out any leaves and debris. (it is a good
idea to net out all leaves daily during autumn)
Brush pool walls and floor.
Clean out all skimmer and pump baskets (it
is a good idea to do this daily during autumn)
Vacuum the pool as needed.
Check the pressure gauge on the filter. (if
10 PSI above normal clean filter)
Check all pool equipment for any leaks.
Shock your swimming pool unless you have Ozone.
If you do have Ozone you can shock the pool by
running the pool for 24 hours.
Monthly:
Add a metal out product. We recommend Jacks
Magic “THE BLUE STUFF”.
Take your water and have it professionally
tested.
Check Ozone (if purchased) to make sure blue
glow is coming out of unit. (pump must be running
to check this) EVERY 6 MONTHS
If filter has not been cleaned this is a good
time to clean it.
Replace Nature II cartridge.
Lubricate all pump and filter o-rings.
This will give a
general schedule to go by but please listen to your
pool professional on any ideas that they might have.
You can pick your day of the week to complete your
maintenance schedule and try as hard as you can to
stick with that day. As the climate and extent of
use of the pool alters, so can your maintenance.
